How was the Blood Drive?

(from the Blood Bank:)

Here are the final results from your Blood Drive; we registered 10 people and collected 9 units, this will touch the lives of at least 27 people, all from your one day drive. You had 5 people donate blood for the very first time!

It is great drives like yours that keep San Diego Blood recipients alive and able to enjoy their lives. In fact the majority of the blood collected at your drive, is already at the hospitals and being given to patients.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you improve your attendance and continue making your drives a success, I really appreciate all your efforts. If there is anything I can do to help you; please do not hesitate to ask.

Latest News!

Congratulations to our Winners!  All Raffle prizes have been claimed.  It seems that no one wanted to take a chance on missing out!

Now it is time for some Event Stats:

What a fun success!  We sold Raffle Tickets for about 3 weeks, chilled out with the best Italian Ice in the county, dipped into a Dunk Tank, got painted by "Franny the Clown", perused through the treasures of the Rummage Sale, delighted in the Bake Sale items, climbed in the Fire Engine, bought Raffle Tickets, scarffed up the greatest lunch ever served on a paper plate, sounded the siren on the Police Car, danced with the band “Smooth Unit”,  earned (or bought) Door Prize Tickets, and out-bid everybody in the Silent Auction.

In three very busy days 12 people worked over 300 hours, 9 pints of blood were donated,  300 gallons of water entertained a neighborhood, a community came together to support worthy charities, new friendships were formed, and old liaisons were strengthened!

All-in-all,  we Raised enough money to pay the bills, plus give $1000 to the Diabetes Fund, $746 to the J.D. Children's fund, and $674 to the Aerie.

Who else thinks this is a success story!

Sending a huge “Thank You”, to everyone who participated in this fantastic event.  Without all the people; the volunteers, the businesses, the vendors, the community support, and even the Cheerleaders who could do no more than help keep our flagging spirits alive... this would not happen.

Our success is Your success!  So from the hands of many, the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund and the Diabetes Research Center "for a Cure" fund are both supported!
